Little Man Tate are expected to be in the next lot of bands to be confirmed for Leeds Festival 2007 according to sources.
Little Man Tate are a four-piece indie band from Sheffield, England and formed in 2005. The band quickly began attracting interest from several record labels and in March 2006 signed to V2 Records. The band made extensive use of the Internet to gather a fanbase, which may be in part responsible for their relatively rapid rise, with only twelve months having passed from formation to their signing with the V2 record label. Like many other up and coming bands they made extensive use of MySpace as well as their own forum to communicate with and co-ordinate fans.

According to my reliable sources The Long Blondes are going to be playing at Leeds Festival 2007
The Long Blondes are a 5-piece English indie rock band from Sheffield. They have a large underground following, with emphasis on their “glamorous punk” image, as coined by front-woman Kate Jackson. The Long Blondes’ songs reflect a number of influences, including 60’s pop, Buzzcocks, The Ramones, post-punk and New Wave. Traces of work by another Sheffield band, Pulp can also be seen in their recordings, their debut album was indeed produced by Steve Mackey, bassist of Pulp.
